Freudenberg Group, a globally successful technology company, set out to relaunch its corporate website. wob came on board as the creative partner. Our mission: to craft a cross-channel visual identity that would make its public debut on the new site. Making material expertise visible.
Freudenberg and wob share a partnership that spans several years. Since 2022, we’ve had the opportunity to support our client across numerous projects – from brand strategy to global image campaigns and even the anniversary film for Freudenberg’s 175th year.
The focus for this project was the visual concept and creative development of key assets for the digital relaunch.
The real challenge? A highly diverse product portfolio – from sealing and vibration control technologies to technical textiles, cleaning products and more – serving a wide range of industries. Yet all these products share one crucial foundation: they rely on deep material expertise. Freudenberg’s wish was to express this unique expertise visually, with the help of AI.
Our visual concept fused original macro shots of Freudenberg materials with a “clean”, partly AI-enhanced aesthetic. This brought an abstract, artistic dimension to what had previously been static imagery – creating a visual tension between technology, materiality and design. The result: a distinctive look and feel, still firmly rooted in the real materials.
Our scope of work included:
- Designing and producing animated and static header visuals
- Creating supporting design elements for the website
- Providing guidance on imagery, visual style and consistency
The result:
Visitors to the website now experience Freudenberg’s technological and material expertise in an entirely new and emotionally engaging way. It delivers technical depth while also establishing a strong and distinctive digital presence for the Freudenberg brand.
